2/27/2016 - Burglary/ATM Theft Terrell 16-005284

On February 27, 2016 at approximately 0454 hours, the Exxon service station located at 311 E Interstate Highway 20 in Terrell was burglarized and the ATM machine located in the store was stolen. In store video showed 3 suspects enter the store and use a chain, attached to a dark colored Dodge Ram pickup with silver strip,  to remove the ATM machine from the store.  Suspect 1 was thinner than suspect 2, and wore a Halloween mask, gloves, black hooded sweat shirt, light pants and dark shoes. Suspect was larger and wore a jacket with a hood with a bandana over his face. Suspect 3 never entered the store but operated the vehicle. Suspect 3 was the thinnest and wore a hooded jacket, black pants and white shoes.

2/27/2016 - Burglary Forney, Texas

On Saturday, February 27, 2016, it was reported to the Forney Police Department that a local business had been burglarized. This was one of three local businesses that had been hit sometime during the night on Friday or in the early morning hours on Saturday. A vehicle description was obtained by video footage from one of the businesses. A photo of the vehicle and of the three suspects are included with this press release. The vehicle appears to be a dark colored four door passenger car. Another local business was burglarized sometime between Wednesday night (02/24/2016) and Thursday morning. It is believed that some of these incidents may be related.

2/10/2016 - Theft From Nike Factory Outlet 16-003805

On Wednesday February 10, 2016 two suspects stole several pairs of shoes from the Nike Factory Store located at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Terrell. One of the suspects was a black female wearing a straw hat, white t-shirt, blue jeans and white and pink sandals. The second suspect was a black male wearing white shoes, blue jeans, black jacket and black toboggan. 1/4/2016 - Robbery- Shell Store City of Crandall

On 01/04/2016 at approximately 12:27am, 2 unidentified black males entered the Shell convenience store located at 101 N. Fm 148 in the city of Crandall.  Once inside the store, one of the black males is described as about 6’03”, wearing red with white stripes down the legs type of sweat or wind pants, and a black hoodie with an unknown emblem on the left chest area of the hoodie.  The male appears to have some type of mask or bandana covering his face.  The male approaches the register counter and displays an unknown make or model black handgun and demands the money from the register.  The second black male is described as about 5’06”, wearing a grey hoodie sweat shirt with an unknown type emblem on the front, black pants and carrying what appears to be a back pack.  The second male starts loading the bag with various types of tobacco products and then turns towards the clerk demanding the clerks wallet.  The second male pulls out a knife from the front hoodie pocket and points it at the clerk and takes the wallet.  The suspects leave the store and we believe they got into a vehicle a couple of businesses west of the Shell station and fled west bound.  We are in process of obtaining better video footage.  We are asking that anyone with any information regarding this incident call or text the Crandall Police Department at 972-515-3747.  You can also contact Kaufman County Crime Stoppers at 877-TIPSKCC (847-7522) or text TIPLINE plus your message to 274637.  We want to thank the public for any assistance they can give.

12/16/2015 - Criminal Mischief-Terrell PD

On Saturday December 12, 2015 at 9:30am, a subject was observed painting or “tagging” the concrete drainage ditch behind Pop’s Honey Fried Chicken. The suspect last seen westbound from that location.


The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late teens wearing black pants, gray undershirt, black shirt and white tennis shoes. He had black hair with a small patch of hair under his lip. He was also carrying a black backpack, where he carried the spray paint. He was riding a fluorescent green bicycle with a blue seat and black wheels.


The suspect painted "Esmeralda" in cursive, a star with the word "Crip" on top of it, the letter "I" and the letters "Es" in cursive. They were all done in blue and beige spray paint. 12/10/2015 - Theft Suspect Terrell PD

On Friday 10-02-2015, Tuesday 10-06-2015 and Friday 10-16-2015, a male subject driving a pewter color Dodge single cab truck with a flat bed, bought gas from Buc-ee’s. On his way out of the parking lot, the subject stops and steals a single traffic safety cone. These cones are set up to cordon off an area where Buc-ee`s parks gasoline tanker trucks. The license plate on the truck, GKC3684, returns to a company out of Wills Point; However,  there is no listing for that company and a Google map search reveals that address is a wooded area, with no sign of a business or structure. The suspect appears to be a Hispanic male. OCA# 15-029416.

11/28/2015 - Homicide Windmill Farms, Forney, Texas

On Saturday, November 28, 2015, at approximately 1100 hours Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a concern for welfare call in the 3200 block of Clear Springs in Windmill Farms, Forney, Texas.  The caller advised that a male looked to be asleep in his front doorway and the door was open.  Upon arrival Deputies discovered the Victim, George Moss of Forney, laying in his doorway with a gunshot wound.  Moss was pronounced deceased on scene.  This case has been classified as a Homicide and the investigation is ongoing.

11/20/2015 - Burglary of Building (Exxon)-Terrell PD

On Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at approximately 0421 hours, Officers responded to Diba Food Mart (Exxon), 311 E Interstate 20 in Terrell, in reference to a delayed burglary and spoke with the complainant. Surveillance video shows at approximately 2:55am, three black males drive up and exit what appears to be a black Nissan Altima and carrying a pry bar. They pried open the front door of the business and enter the building, taking the money out of the cash register.

11/10/2015 - Burglary of Building-Terrell PD

On Friday 11/06/2015 The Terrell Police Department responded to the 1300 Block of S Rockwall in reference to a delayed burglary. The victim reported that the house is only used for storage so they have not been there in two weeks. When they arrived at the house they noticed the front door was unlocked and the back door had been forced open. They also discovered a drum set along with several other items missing. The missing items are listed below. 

1 D2 drum set with the following drums:

- 12" Rack Tom drum

- 14" Rack Tom drum

- 18" Rack Tom drum

- 14" Snare drum

1 wood grain colored microwave, unknown make

1 A/C window unit, possible Hisense brand

1 small self propelled gray lawn mower, unknown brand

1 Ridgid brand 3-1/2" clipped head framing nailer

11/7/2015 - Stolen Vehicle from Chili`s in Forney

On Saturday, November 7th, 2015, Forney Police Officers responded to a call in regards to a car being stolen from Chili’s Restaurant in Forney off US Hwy 80. The call came in around 7:30 pm. The car was running and sitting outside the To-Go door of Chili’s and two small children were in the back seat of the vehicle when it was taken. It is believed at this time that the person(s) that stole the vehicle were not aware of the children in the back seat at the time. The children were later discovered at Schlotzsky’s in Terrell on Hwy 34 at just past 8:00 pm. The vehicle was discovered sitting in the Starbuck’s parking lot down the street unoccupied and still running at around 8:15 pm. After making contact and interviewing persons involved, it is believed that no contact, verbal or physical, was made with the children. It’s also believed that whoever took the car, after discovering the children in the back seat, left the vehicle at Starbuck’s and departed on foot. The children got out of the vehicle and were discovered walking down the street.
